SOSPOSA membership is open to healthcare professionals with appropriate qualifications. Membership fees are payable annually and are non-refundable. Membership benefits are subject to change and are detailed on our website. Members are responsible for maintaining accurate profile information and valid contact details.
3. Courses and CPD Programmes
Online courses and CPD programmes are provided for educational purposes. Upon purchase, you receive access to course materials for the specified duration. Course content remains the intellectual property of SOSPOSA and may not be reproduced, distributed, or shared without written permission. CPD points are awarded upon successful completion of assessments as specified in each course. We reserve the right to update course content to reflect current guidelines and best practices.
4. Events and Conferences
Event registrations are subject to availability. Cancellation policies are specified at the time of booking. SOSPOSA reserves the right to modify event programmes, speakers, or venues due to circumstances beyond our control. In the event of cancellation by SOSPOSA, registered participants will receive a full refund or credit toward future events.
5. Self-Appraisal Certification
The SOSPOSA Self-Appraisal certification is a professional self-assessment programme. Certification indicates that the practitioner has self-assessed against SOSPOSA standards at the time of assessment. SOSPOSA does not guarantee or endorse the clinical competence of certified practitioners. Certification validity is for three years, after which renewal is required. Misrepresentation in the self-appraisal process may result in revocation of certification and membership.
6. Find a Sedation Practitioner Directory
Inclusion in the public directory is voluntary and requires member consent. SOSPOSA does not guarantee the accuracy of practitioner information. Listing in the directory does not constitute an endorsement by SOSPOSA. Members are responsible for keeping their directory information current.
7. Payment Terms
Payments can be made via credit/debit card, EFT, or other methods specified at checkout. Prices are quoted in South African Rand (ZAR) and are subject to change. Refund policies vary by product and are specified at the time of purchase. Generally, digital course access is non-refundable once accessed.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, course materials, and guidelines, is the property of SOSPOSA or its content suppliers and is protected by South African and international copyright laws.
