First National Conference

Inaugural SOSPOSA conference brings together sedation practitioners from across South Africa for the first time.

HPCSA Accredited Training

SOSPOSA becomes the nation's exclusive provider of HPCSA-accredited sedation training programmes.

2020

Adult Sedation Guidelines Published

First comprehensive South African guidelines for adult procedural sedation, developed by SOSPOSA's clinical leadership.

2025

Paediatric Sedation Guidelines

Dedicated guidelines for paediatric sedation published, establishing age-specific protocols for safe sedation in children.

Online CPD Courses Launched

Six Stelmed-accredited, self-paced online courses now available — Adult Sedation, Paediatric, Airway Management, Ethics, Verified Practice, and the 8-gate Self-Appraisal. Up to 77 CPD points.
