Advanced TIVA & TCI Masterclass on Conscious Sedation
SOSPOSA invites members to a complimentary, practical education day on modern conscious sedation — from safe sedation principles and pharmacology through to Target Controlled Infusion (TCI) and Total Intravenous Anaesthesia (TIVA). Facilitated by James Waterson and Prof Stefan Schraag of BD Medical Affairs, the day is built around hands-on time with BD Alaris™ neXus PK pumps and TIVAtrainer simulation, with loan devices provided by BD for the practical stations.

The format is deliberately practical — roughly 40% hands-on device workshops, 30% didactic learning, 20% simulation-based training and 10% interactive case discussion — so you leave with skills you can apply in daily practice the next day. The programme runs from safe-sedation principles and pharmacology, into TIVA/TCI technology and a hands-on TCI workshop, then advanced clinical case simulations and a panel on building a modern sedation service.
